HARTDUR RE101 (RE) is a universal curing agent (cross-linker) for adhesives based on hydroxyl polyurethane, natural, and synthetic rubbers, especially for bonding rubber materials. It is also widely used for bonding metals with rubber. Furthermore, HARTDUR RE101 can be applied to resin, antioxidants, plasticizers, etc.

After adding a certain proportion of Hartdur RE101 to the adhesive, the ready-to-use double-component adhesive should be applied within a period (pot life) which is determined not only by the polymer content of the adhesive, but also by the other ingredients of the formulation (e.g. resins, antioxidants, solvents, and etc.). If the adhesive is not used within this period, it may become increasingly difficult to apply and quickly become viscous and no longer be used.
Toxicity
Re101 is highly flammable, irritating to the eyes and inhalation may cause allergies. Repeated exposure may cause dry skin. Steam may cause nausea and dizziness.
